FTDI USB to MPSSE Cables provide a fast, simple way to connect devices with 3.3V logic level interfaces to USB. The Digital Level Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine (MPSSE) cables are available with both 3.3V and 5V output. The connector end of the cables contain FTDI's FT232H USB interface chip. The cables are terminated by ten individual wires which can be interfaced to a 0.1" pitch male header. Supporting the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed (480Mb/s) standard, the USB to MPSSE Cables from FTDI can be used to communicate with various synchronous serial interfaces, such as JTAG, SPI or I2C. The MPSSE enables designers to implement proprietary synchronous serial bus protocols.
