SX5 Series Safety Scanners

Banner Engineering SX5 Series Safety Scanners are Electro-Sensitive Protective Equipment (ESPE) that protect personnel, equipment, and mobile systems within a user-defined area. These two-dimensional laser scanners continuously scan a 275° area to create a two-dimensional protected zone that must be crossed to reach the hazard. The SX5 safety scanners employ Active Optoelectronics Productive Devices responsive to the Diffuse Reflection of Radiation (AOPDDRs) as per the international safety standard IEC 61496-3 requirements. The optical radiation is a class 1 infrared laser generated within the devices.
