EX-IS I/O Inline Modules

Phoenix Contact EX-IS I/O Inline Modules are intrinsically safe I/Os for the Ex area. The intrinsically safe I/Os connect input and output signals to a network or bus system. A selection of standard I/O terminals is available for use in potentially explosive and non-potentially explosive areas up to zone 2. Additional input and output signals from potentially explosive areas of zones 1 and 0 can be connected to these blue I/O modules. Phoenix Contact EX-IS I/O Inline Modules allow designers to simply mount the intrinsically safe blue Ex-i I/O modules after the intrinsically safe supply terminal and extend with additional modules as required. Parameterization and diagnostics take place via an engineering system or FDT (field device tool) technology. This means easy handling, even with high numbers of I/Os.
