Bourns HVMA transformers feature a high working voltage of 800V or higher and operate over a wide temperature range for reliable performance in harsh environments. These transformers are designed for use in transistor gate drive power, inverter circuits, battery management systems, motor drives, and power-delivery applications.

HVMA03F45A-ST8S Gate Driver Transformers

Bourns HVMA03F45A-ST8S Gate Driver Transformers are automotive-grade, AEC-Q200-compliant devices with an 8mm creepage distance and an 850V working voltage. These features make Bourns HVMA03F45A-ST8S transformers ideal for electric vehicle (EV) applications that require a high isolation voltage. These gate driver transformers have a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C for Class F operation. The high-creepage, SMT package provides a small footprint for a large working voltage. The HVMA03F45A-ST8S series features a switching frequency of 50kHz to 380kHz and delivers up to 3W of output power. Typical automotive applications include gate-drive power for transistors, powering battery management circuits, and providing isolated power across separate voltage systems in hybrid vehicles.
