Maxim MAX14940ハーフデュプレックスPROFIBUS/RS-485トランシーバは、2750VRMS（60s）のガルバニック絶縁を実現している絶縁RS-485/PROFIBUS DPトランシーバです。この絶縁は、デバイスのケーブル側（RS-485ドライバ/レシーバ側）とUART側で実現されます。この絶縁はグランドループのブレーキングによって通信を向上させ、ポート間の接地電位に大きな差がある場合にノイズを低減します。このデバイスを使用すると、最大20Mbpsの堅牢な通信が可能になります。このデバイスには、外部変換器を用いてトランシーバのケーブル側への動力伝達を目的とした統合450kHzトランスドライバが含まれています。統合LDOは、絶縁DC/DC電源の設計のシンプルかつスペース効率の高い方法を実現しています。
