Diotec Semiconductor SK14/SK14-AQ Reverse Polarity Protection Diodes

Diotec Semiconductor SK14/SK14-AQ Reverse Polarity Protection Diodes for Universal Use are designed for automotive electronic circuits and operate on 12V supply levels. This voltage is ideal in traditional combustion engine cars and electric vehicles (EVs). Furthermore, the 12V supply is implemented in essential circuits like battery management systems (BMS) or battery disconnection units (BDU). The BMS is responsible for the charging state and temperature of the battery and balancing the single cells. The BDU disconnects the high-voltage battery used for the motor drive while being supplied from the 12V low-voltage system. These circuits typically consume 100mA of current, which the SK14-AQ can easily cover at a nominal 1A/40V.
