Infineon Technologies PSOC™3 Programmable System-on-Chip

Infineon Technologies PSOC™3 Programmable System-on-Chip devices consist of four families based on the high-performance 8-bit 8051 processor. PSOC3 System-on-Chip devices include high-precision programmable analog capability (up to 20-bit resolution for an analog-to-digital converter) and expanded programmable digital resources integrated with powerful, industry-standard MCU cores and ample memory and communications peripherals.

The Infineon Technologies CY8C32 Programmable Digital PSOC3 family enables the integration of digital peripherals, including PWMs, Timers, Counters, UARTs, glue logic, and state machines. The CY8C32 family features up to 24 Universal Digital Blocks (UDBs), a 12-bit delta-sigma ADC, and two comparators. Additionally, the CY8C32xxx family includes basic analog peripherals such as a 12-bit Delta-Sigma ADC, internal voltage reference, two comparators, and an 8-bit DAC to enable easy interfacing to analog signals.

CY8C34 Analog Lite PSOC3 Family
The CY8C34 Analog Lite PSOC3 Family offers a modern method of signal acquisition, signal processing, and control with high accuracy, high bandwidth, and high flexibility. The CY8C34 family can handle dozens of data acquisition channels and analog inputs on every general-purpose input/output (GPIO) pin. The CY8C34 family is also a high-performance configurable digital system with some part numbers including interfaces such as USB, Multimaster inter-integrated circuit (I2C), and controller area network (CAN).

CY8C36 Performance Analog PSOC3 Family
The Infineon CY8C36 Performance Analog PSOC3 Family provides configurable blocks of analog, digital, and interconnect circuitry around a CPU subsystem. The CY8C36 features a combination of a CPU with a very flexible analog subsystem, digital subsystem, routing, and I/O that enables a high level of integration in a wide variety of consumer, industrial, and medical applications.

CY8C38 Precision Analog Family
The CCY8C38 Precision Analog PSOC3 Family offers analog capability that spans the range from thermocouples (near DC voltages) to ultrasonic signals. The CY8C38 family can handle dozens of data acquisition channels and analog inputs on every general-purpose input/output (GPIO) pin. The CY8C38 family is also a high-performance configurable digital system with some part numbers including interfaces such as USB, Multimaster inter-integrated circuit (I2C), and controller area network (CAN).
